The poems cover the loss of my four-month-old daughter from SIDS in 2009 and the subsequent rebuilding of our family with two more children over the next 13 years. The poems touch on loss and sadness, but also hope, resilience and love.

I wrote the majority of the poems in the spring of 2021, had them edited by the team at Tell Tell Poetry in October 2021 and spent all of 2022 submitting the manuscript, taking feedback and making tweaks. It is an honor to have been chosen as one of three Cherry Dress Chapbook 2023 releases out of 200 submissions.
