Poem Reading: End of the Road

Published by The Stillwater Review — Volume 11 — March 2021

It is April 2023, National Poetry Month. I am recording myself reading one of my published/curated pieces of poetry each day for 30 days.

Reading # 8 of 30

Reading, End of the Road. This poem recounts an experience that is common to many in Alaska growing up. When someone hits a moose with their car, you get a call to collect the animal for food. There is often collateral damage. This poem originally appeared in the print issue of The Stillwater Review, Volume 11, March 2021.
