Reading # 7 of 30

Reading, Off to War, Daughter. This poem was written reflecting a moment when we lived next to a train track in Flossmoor, IL. I was shoveling snow, and a train of tanks rolled by, and I wondered where they were going, the mortality of war, the mortality of sleep. You can read this poem online at Hole in the Head Review.
