Pursuit of the Storm

Maybe I’m just older and more sensitive

The world has been windy lately —
more buzz, more twitchy

pushes of dune building exhalation.
The news man says it’s the same

as always, but it must not be
if he’s asked enough to comment about it.

Maybe I’m just older and more sensitive
to the weather. I never noticed

the forest pansy trees and their purple
until I came of age.
